Genealogy

Genealogy, or drawing up your family tree, is a popular pastime. More and more people want to know whom their ancestors were. By consulting still living relatives and different archival sources it is possible to draw up a list of names and dates of one’s ancestors. When these data are extended with information on life, religion and profession, it becomes a real family history.
In the City Archives of ‘s-Hertogenbosch you can consult many sources for genealogical research. Click here for more information on how to do such an investigation obtaining the best results. Click here for more genealogical sources (results are presented in Dutch).
